PROGRAMS

Ever since I lived in California for a brief period (7yrs old), I have been captivated by our true, vintage American West in culture, cuisine and history. I started by drawing ghost towns as a child, then proceeded to photograph historic sites, including mining camps and steam trains. My photography ended up in magazine articles, in restaurants and was the subject for a series (pilot) on PBS.

I continue to share my photography and adventures with audiences.

My Program Menu:

Much of the programs were inspired by the production of a television pilot.

Programs are available on job search and graceful aging matters, based on Chuck’s books. Call for details.

The Best of the West-a slideshow with my singing western standards to accompany the visual collage. Destinations include Yellowstone, Bannack State Park, Bryce and Grand Canyon.

The Joys of Trains-a video collage of several steam trains that I rode in the production of the television pilot.

Tracks, Trails and Treasures-a sampling of steam trains, steam boats and ghost towns.

Cruising’ Down the River-going back in time on a working steam boat/paddle wheeler down the Ohio River….capturing the spirit of a by gone era.

All programs are one hour in duration and include live music.
My favorite shot…..Bodie State Park–California. I call it “one eyed building with a crutch!”.
Narrow guage railway between two “ghost towns”….Virginia City and Nevada City, Montana
Goldfield, AZ train station with Superstition Mts in the distance….including Weavers Needle.

The famous Superstition Mts outside Phoenix, AZ with restored ghost town of Goldfield in foreground.

Mississippi Queen riverboat which I rode on the Ohio River 1994. The riverboat has since been “recycled”.
